Inside Oustide'da bu hafta eski Suriye büyükelçisi Mohammed Bassam al-İmadi ile Suriye'nin şu andaki durumu, muhalefetin özellikle Suriye Ulusal Konseyi'nin görüşlerini, BM'nin, komşu ülkelerinin ve Türkiye'nin rolünü, Özgür Suriye Ordusu'nun durumu ve Assad'sız gelecekteki senaryoları tartıştık. Today we talked about the current situation in Syria, the positions of the opposition especially of the Syrian National Council, the role of the UN, the neighbouring countries and especially Turkey and future scenarios for the post-Assad period. Our guest was former Syrian ambassador to Sweden Mohammed Bassam al-Imaid who has been living in Istanbul since late 2011.

Inside - Outside'da bu hafta Akron Üniversitesi profesörü Janet Klein ile, Osmanlı İmparatorluğunun son döneminden günümüze olan dönemi kapsayan, Kürt sorunu üzerine çalışmalarını tartıştık. Klein, 11-13 Kasım tarihlerinde Diyarbakır'da Hrant Dink Vakfı tarafından düzenlenen konferanstan da bahsetti.

Inside - Outside'da bu hafta, Londra'da doktora öğrencisi olan Eray Çaylı ile Türkiye'deki müzeleştirme örnekleri tartıştık, Madımak, Diyarbakır Cezaevi, Ulucanlar gibi örnekleri yurt dışındaki örnekleriyle (Litvanya, Almanya) karşılaştırdık.

Konuğumuz Finlandiya Radyo ve Televizyonu YLE'nin Türkiye muhabiri Lotta Nuotio'ydu, kendisi 2008'den beri İstanbul'da. Today our topic was Finland where presidential elections were held on 5 February, besides this talked about Finnish politics, the current government and its view on foreign policy, the influence of the True Finns party, Turkey-Finland relations etc.. Our guest was Lotta Nuotio, Finnish TV and radio journalist for YLE (Finnish Broadcasting Company) who has been working in Istanbul since 2008.

Inside - Outside'da bu hafta International Crisis Group'un (ICG) Türkiye ve Kıbrıs sorumlusu Hugh Pope ile ICG'nin Kürt sorunu üzerine yayınlanan son raporunu (PKK'nın Silahlı Mücadelesine Son Vermek) tartıştık.

Iki konugumuz vardi, Yahudi Istanbul kitabinin yazari Roz Kohen ve kitabi yayinlanan Libra Yayinevinin kurucusu ve yayin yonetmeni Rifat Bali. The first program in 2013 was the second on Judeo Spanish. Inside Outside 24 Aralık 2012 On Christmas morning we looked back at some of the important events and developments in 2012 with one of the most experienced and best known foreign correspondents in Turkey. Andrew Finkel has been working in Turkey as a journalist since 1989, corresponding for a variety of print and broadcast media including The Daily Telegraph, The Times, The Economist, TIME, and CNN. Finkel has also worked in the Turkish language press both in the news room and as a featured columnist currently at daily Taraf. And he is a weekly contributor to the Latitude section of the international edition of The New York Times. His second book, Turkey: What Everyone Needs to Know, has just being published by Oxford University Press. We talked about the demissions at Taraf, the authoritarianism of the AKP, foreign policy trends, the situation of the opposition, the new constitution and last but not least the gastronomic situation in Turkey.

Inside -Outside'da Bu hafta Alman doktora öğrencisi, gazeteci ve tercüman Constanze Letsch ile Tarlabaşı semtinin kentsel dönüşümünü tartıştık. Kendisiyle daha genel de semtin tarihi, mimarisi, nüfus değişimi, yasa 5366 ve şu anda olan yıkım ev belediyenin planlarını tartıştık. This week we discussed with German PhD student, journalist and translator Constanze Letsch what is going on in the Tarlabasi district of Istanbul. We also talked about the history, architecture, population changes, Law 5366 and the ongoing renovation/destruction and the future plans of the municipality.
